We do the checking. You stay here. “Taken” means we found evidence of an existing profile. “Likely available” means a platform returned explicit not-found evidence. Login walls and blocked requests stay inconclusive. Names can still be reserved until you register them.

No. Our server runs all 12 checks and displays the evidence here. Results arrive as each platform responds. You can recheck one platform, inspect its method and response, or rerun the full scan without leaving this page. Read the username availability guide.
Taken: we found an existing profile or account identity matching the exact handle. Likely available: the platform returned explicit not-found evidence. Names may still be reserved. Check blocked: a sign-in wall, anti-bot challenge or rate limit prevented a result. Inconclusive: the response did not establish either outcome. Blocked requests and generic errors are never counted as available.
We use public APIs for GitHub and Bluesky, TikTok’s creator-profile oEmbed API, Reddit’s public account endpoint, and platform-specific profile metadata for Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Twitch and Pinterest. Twitch may fall back to the public DecAPI service. We match exact identities and explicit not-found responses, rather than assuming every HTTP 200 is an account. Bluesky checks .bsky.social; LinkedIn checks personal /in/ addresses.
Platforms can block automated access, require login, or return a generic page for several different situations. We show that limitation here instead of asking you to perform a manual check or inventing a yes/no answer. Retry can resolve a temporary failure. Consistently restricted platforms need an authorized data-provider integration for broader coverage.
It means the lookup found explicit evidence that no public profile exists. It does not reserve the name. Platforms can hold, restrict or reclaim usernames. Registration is the final confirmation. Domain checks use public .com, .net and .org RDAP records; a missing record does not establish a domain’s purchase price or eligibility.
Your shortlist stays in this browser. Search names are sent to our server, the platforms being checked, and DecAPI when a Twitch fallback is needed. Results are cached for up to one minute; inconclusive scans expire sooner. Share links include the name in the URL. There is no account or search-history database. Hosting providers may keep standard request logs.
